Every single SoC had only marginal improvements in Dolphin. This year is no different. A bit better in Dolphin, but nothing even close to what you can get on a cheap PC. Now if you want to develop on Dolphin, please, by all means, pick your phone based on perf. 
You're probably right. I'm just eager for a phone to finally be powerful enough to run dolphin so I can play my Twin Snakes, REmake, Skies of Arcadia and Tales of Symphonia on the go.
Realistically, we're probably still a few years away.

Nonexistent can you explain what you mean with the 4k resolution? Only phone with this resolution is the Sony models.
About battery life they say that with 3000mah, and the efficiency of SD 835 you can use it 1 day.
Will see hoy PSP and GameCube emulator works on the Xperia zx premium.

I think he meant the Quad HD resolution and that version of S8 has the Exynos chip which are the source of the performace issues in console emulation. The snapdragon version should perform much better.

Not really, the sd 820 did pretty well on demanding areas in Wind Waker for example. I don't think we've seen just how well the sd 835 can do, but I wouldn't say it's out of the question for it to be able to play certain popular games like Wind Waker at a decent fps. But yeah, best not to buy the phone
expecting it to use Dolphin at full fps on most games or something, which seems to be what a lot of people expect.
