I'm a Mac user (And although I can boot on Windows, my main SO is MacOS) and the Mac version of Dolphin hasn't received love in the recent years. Having this backend will for sure revive it. As it is now, most Mac users install Windows to use Dolphin as it performs really bad on MacOS, so not even Mac users (like me) give it any love. Having a competent backend on MacOS will make it finally usable
Nothing new to report at this point. I'm glad there's interest, but again this is really just a pet project of mine and I barely even know what I'm doing. If/when I make any meaningful progress I'll be sure to post in this forum!

Not today, sadly.
I'd love to help him, but I know almost nothing about coding, nor rendering. My only experience is some rather basic coding with Python. I just started a couple of months ago. I'll try to learn more these holidays. Maybe in a year or two I could really help on this, if it's still alive. I hope it is either alive or done
Well, that's a better attitude than a lot of users have. Even if you don't end up ever contributing to Dolphin, it's still a good skill to develop and I wish you luck.

That's great. Best of luck to you. I've been programming for pretty close to a decade now, but only started learning about graphics programming earlier this year. Never too late to learn new things!
So Apple announced Metal 2, promising better performance (shocking, I know). Looking forward to the presentation devoted to it tonight. Unless they're hiding it really well though, still no geometry shader support
