Dolphin, the GameCube and Wii emulator - Forums

Hi all,

I'm currently looking for a new gaming laptop, and plan on possibly delving into Wii/GC emulation if I buy a powerful enough computer. Currently, I'm looking at two different laptops to possibly purchase; both seem to be powerful enough, but I'm not sure which one is better:

Out of the two listed here, which would be better for Wii emulation?

Both are fine
Acer advantages:
Faster GPU (higher resolution/AA)
Has SSD (for dolphin only advantage is prefetching textures faster)
More total storage

MSI advantages
Slightly faster CPU
Faster HDD

IMO get the Acer. The faster CPU of the MSI probably won't be an issue. You probably will want the better GPU for gaming and enhancements.

I would choose the Acer also. The differences in CPU speed is pretty small
