I've had various versions of Dolphin for a few years, first on my PC (which has since died...RIP Bub) and now on my laptop. It's not a gaming laptop by any stretch, but it was free and I can't complain.
I've tried all the stable versions of Dolphin, and the two that work best are 4.0 and 5.0.
However... it crashes hard, at random times, in every game I play. It either freezes the gameplay and audio until I close it completely, or I get the neat little error message, "Dolphin.exe has stopped working."
Adding to the fun is the consistent framerate lag, which I've mostly fixed within the settings and can tolerate to a point. I know my GPU is under spec (NVIDIA NVS 3100M...don't laugh, remember it was free), but is there an older build that is all-around more compatible with my GPU?
I would actually try the latest 5.0 dev builds, as they have bug fixes and optimizations that help lower end systems.
I would also make sure you have the most up to date driver from Nvidia: http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverRes...6999/en-us

I actually just updated my driver a few days ago, so I'll give the newest dev build a shot.  The worst that can happen is it still doesn't work right.  Thanks!
