I am using Windows 7 Ultimate (32bit) and am having the following problem with the Wiimote. It may be a Dolphin issue, or a general hardware/Wiimote problem.
I am able to pair the Wiimote with my Win7 machine. All 4 lights on the bottom of the Wiimote flash on and off constantly, but the connection is successful, and I can even see the BT light on my PC blink when I press a button on the Wiimote.
Then I go into Dolphin and open up the Wiimote config. The Wiimote vibrates once and the player 1 light on the Wiimote lights up solidly. Then I CLOSE the Wiimote config box, the player 1 light turns off, and the player 4 light lights up.
Nothing on the remote works to control anything, although the BT light on my PC still flashes when I press a button on the Wiimote. Also, other apps like WiinRemote recognize an active remote is connected but don't show any motion or battery data.
I've tried pretty much everything short of using a new BT stack, but I would rather not screw with the Windows 7 native one unless I have to, since all of my other BT devices work just fine.
Any ideas?
Did you check "Connect Real Wiimote" and "Use Real Wiimote" in Wiimote settings?
Yup, absolutely. And for what it's worth, I can replicate the exact same problem on another machine that uses a different BT adapter.
It could probably be a Dolphin issue, try submitting it on Google Code page of Dolphin, you'll get professional help
Looks like it's not a Dolphin issue. It appears lighting up Player #4 is just Dolphin's way of telling me that the Wiimote is not properly connected, even though I do get the rumble when I open the config.

if(Connect)
{
wiiuse_rumble(WiiMoteReal::g_WiiMotesFromWiiUse[i], 0);
// End with light 1 or 4
wiiuse_set_leds(WiiMoteReal::g_WiiMotesFromWiiUse[i], WIIMOTE_LED_1);
}
else wiiuse_set_leds(WiiMoteReal::g_WiiMotesFromWiiUse[i], WIIMOTE_LED_4);

Are you crazy? The last thing Devs need is agitating bombardment from easily fixable situations such as this. Anything that is truly "fixable", can be fixed here. Have you even visited the page itself?? If you can't help, that's understandable.
I get this problem sometimes too:
It might be a driver issue or game compatibility. What game are you trying to run?
Search for new updates for your dongle and/or replace your Wiimote batteries.
Also try holding the will-mote within 2 inches of your pc for a proper sync (Sometimes Helps

)
My conclusion so far is that the Wiimote won't work with the
x64 flavor of Win7 (...unless you run BlueSoleil--which I'd rather eat my hand than install on my computer).

It seems that there are some drivers missing form the x64 Widcomm stack that are needed in order to make the remote buttons and accelerometers seen by Windows. See also
here and
here.
Anyway, I'd like to hear form people that managed to make it work with the constraints above. I'd gladly be proven wrong.
I was just able to get my wiimote to work in win7 ultimate x64. I had to change the Radio driver to the Microsoft Wireless Transceiver for Bluetooth. There should be three chocies bluetooth, bluetooth 2, and bluetooth 3. I choose the first one. After that I was able to par like normal and use it in Dolphine build 4525 (edit: build 4590 works too). I hope this helps someone out.
Little info about my BT device.
Win7 found it as a CSR Bluetooth Radio <--this is the driver I changed to The Microsoft Wireless Transceiver for Bluetooth.
another edit: After I run dolphin with the wiimote paired. it will continue to stay paired. I load another build of dolphin with no problem and play away. Is this normal?

Hello
Sorry for my english.
That doesn´t work to me on w7 rtm ultimate x32 build 7600 spanish. I have an usb dongle recognized as CSR Generic Bluetooth radio. I´ve changed it to "Microsoft Wireless transceiver for BLuetooh" choices #1,#2, and #3 with no success. Wiimote is visible as "Nintendo RVL-CNT-01", but WiinRemote can´t see it and doesn´t work. I have installed MS DirectX 11, but the same result. With the Generic BLuetooth Radio, WiiRemote detect the wiimote, but no IR, no buttons, no accel.
I only can use the wiimote by installing Bluesoleil 6. Then all OK, but I would like to use wiimote without Bluesoleil, only with the MS Bluetooth Stack.
¿Any ideas?
