Hi guys
I'm trying to play The Simpsons Hit&Run on my Xiaomi Mi5S Plus and the game freeze on launch.
I've read that some games need to enable MMU Speed Hack to work,on Windows it's easy to hang,but on Android,Do we have that option ? Can't see it on Enhancements/Hacks

Thanks guys.
MMU speedhack is enabled by default. You can enable the low level MMU emulation, but as the ARM port doesn't support it, it will fall back to the interpreter for all load/store instructions. Expect a performance similiar to the cached interpreter :/
If anyone wants to help on rewriting those load/store instructions to support MMU, I'm all for it.
Thank for the reply degasus.
So if i'm not that much stupid, the freeze doesn't come from the MMU SpeedHack Sad
Any idea why it freeze on start ?

Thanks.
Using the "fast disk access" setting fixed it for me for some reason since older builds.
Don't know if it still runs in the latest build,but I had it running on Vulkan once as well.

Edit: Part of my GameSettings file for the game...

[Core]
FastDiscSpeed = True

Hope this works for you too. Smile

Edit2: It loaded near instantly on the latest master build! Big Grin
Hi retroben,
So i've looked on my dolphin.ini and this line doesn't appeared. I'm under the 5.0 3118 and on the [core] section i only have those settings which start with a F
FPRF
Fastmem
Frameskip

Did you add this line by yourself ?

Thanks for feedback.
You need to have the GameSettings folder in the dolphin-emu directory,so if its not,create a new folder by that name.

Then you need the properly named ini file inside that folder.

Mine is GHQE7D.ini for NTSC US.

I copied the wrong info,but its the same on the correct ini though anyway besides another option I have in it.

[Core]
FastDiscSpeed = True
VBeam = True

I recommend just trying the fast disc option first to see if the game lets you run it afterward.
Hi retroben,thanks for advices but still not working.
I installed Dolphin on my computer,then opening iso properties and adding the line you said,then saving and in the GameSettings folder,i take the ini file and i copied it onto my Android phone (Dolphin-emu/GameSettings/),but i'm still having the f******* freeze on launch...
Where do i fail ?...

Sorry for being a noob that much,Dolphin still pretty new for me.

Edit : It work ! when i laucnh the iso the screen freeze for around 1 minute,but after i'm on that f****** game ! Thank you so much retroben Big Grin You saved my day ! (My wife isn't that much happy XD)
May you please recheck for device bugs: Does it work on the cached interpreter? Does it work on the video software backend?
Hi Degasus;i've edited my post,it finally work,i was just not enough patient,now i will try for SW RS III Rebel Strike and for Clone Wars.
To see if it was not just luck.

Btw is there is any thread with shared gamesettings for games like those on the android section ? Would be nice,if not,i will create one.
I think it won't be a waste of time !

There isn't one. All the recommended settings are already available at https://github.com/dolphin-emu/dolphin/tree/master/Data/Sys/GameSettings and can also be gotten from the Windows/macOS builds.
