I was though, thank you.

Just like they're hiding the single threaded tests for all Ryzen-based CPUs except for the Ryzen 7 1800X?
AMD depends on the success of Zen, to remain on the market. Spread false information, at this point, it would be self-destructive behavior.

Because it's the only clocked the same as the competitor of the intel? Even if Zen has the same IPC that intel, it would be stupid to compare a processor clocked down (3.5 ghz) to a intel 7700K frying to 4.5 ghz.
I'm excited for these new processors, but I don't trust AMD because their releases are always hyped.
At least they've let the press validate the data they're releasing for some of the tests (cinebench, blender, handbrake, Battlefield 1 etc.) by giving them physical access to the demo machines now. We're at least guaranteed good performance in these applications.
Whatever the case, Ryzen will outperform the FX series chip, I'm pretty sure of that. Also, I think it's a safe bet that Dolphin Emulation will also see a performance upgrade from previous AMD CPUs. All the benches, however, are controlled by AMD, so it's hard to know for sure what the actual real life performance will be until the chip is released in a about a week. I'm optimistic that AMD isn't shitting around this time...because if they are, they know their company is toast. They're marketing their chips towards performance users and I think they know performance users aren't total idiots as far as consumers go...so if they put out shit, the backlash will probably do them under. I think the AMD CEO Lisa Su, like Ryzen, is more capable than her predecessors.
