They were trash.

AMD has been doing this with their CPUs for years. Pardon me if I laugh at people hyping up Ryzen before it's even released.

People jumped on the hype train again today since they actually showed that it does indeed perform including hands-on demos and actual benchmarks using your usual benchmarking software.

And its IPC beats Broadwell too in some cases. And this is just the start of it.

I'm guessing that you didn't look at the press coverage?

and it was not good.

Vishera was ok on some multithreaded tests. But not really single threaded ones. And I'm sure they hid that.

However, in this situation they literally also had single threaded benchmarks too listed...
