What was your very first video card?
I include all video cards including pre-geforce such as voodoo 3dfx cards. Unfortunately I didn't get started until geforce was already around, because I'm young. Geforce2 MX 400 for me, I was 10 when it came out.
GF 2
It was super expensive and uber omg lol back then.
S3 911 then upto a S3 Virge (still own lol) You should see the collection of old tech I have
My first system (X86/87 PC)i think was a cyrix based machine ugh ISA ports, EDO ram (pre ddr) etc etc. I remember the socket A days where both amd and intel used the same socket.
Had the C64 /w cassette tape deck expansion
EDO ram, simms , Rdram
I feel old now
My first one was a Hercules 3d prophet 4800

i started with nvdia 8600....
if you're speaking 2d and 3d...
I started on an ISA video card... not sure the brand, I want to say it was S3, but it was the biggest card you've ever seen.
As far as 3d, I think it was the 3dfx Voodoo2, what a GREAT card... I really wish 3dfx didn't get bought out by nvidia... they would be HUGE today... they were faster than ANY other card by nearly DOUBLE... The architecture of the 3dfx graphics engine was amazingly fast. When I got my Voodoo3, it was simply amazing for it's era.
Nvidia TNT2 ultra 64 Mo ^^
Trident Blade AGP 8mb
Back there it was one of the few cards which supported DirectX6 and on, used to brag about how well Half-Life ran to my friends with integrated SiS.
My first video card was a Intel Extreme Graphics of 96MB
