Hi all, just thought I'd finally register on here since I've been using Dolphin for years now. :-)
Just wondering, are there any plans to make a tv friendly rom selection menu, similar to the wii system menu or steam big picture mode? Or even just an option to make each row in the list much bigger? Now I've got a 4k tv, they're REALLY hard to see from the sofa!
We've already made a number of concepts on the UI and how it would all work. However
implementing that would be quite difficult... So plans for the feature have stalled out.
Even an option to further increase the height of each row wouls help, as on a 4k tv they're tiny.
There is a @2x icon set. You could just rename the @2x ones to the regular names and you'll have icons that are twice as big. Maybe that will help?
Also, you could just use hotkeys. ^ᴗ^
Which version of Dolphin are you using? If it's not a development build that's newer than 5.0, updating to the newest development build should make the rows bigger.

Doesn't DolphinWX do this funny thing where it crops icons that are bigger than usual? Or did the HiDPI improvements PR change that?
Josjuice: as long as all of them are the same size its fine.
I didn't know about a 2x icon set, where would I get this? Even that may do, as it'd then double the size of each row. Would the font size also increase to suit?
I'm using a relatively recent test build of dolphin 5.0, not sure on the exact version until I get home from work.

It's included with Dolphin if your Dolphin version isn't too old. All the icons are in Sys/Themes and Sys/Resources.

No. You need to update to a recent development version if you want that.
Right, just checked what version I'm on, and its 5.0-1480, a recent test build. So where would I find the options to increase the icon and font size?
So there's been no success at making something like the wii system menu to launch our games from?

That should be recent enough.
There's no option for it in Dolphin. The change is that recent versions of Dolphin will respect the operating system's scale. If you want to make things in Dolphin bigger, you'll have to look for your operating system's option for making windows bigger.
