Before I go through Metroid Prime 1 or 2 does anybody know with this build if the scanner works for MP2 and if the random crashes have been fixed for MP1 and MP2. Its always bugged me that ive had to use game saves to get past some points. I know emulation isn't perfect.
Well I can't say for sure that you wont have ANY problems, but I managed to play MP2 for a few straight hours without any problems at all.
(And then stopped playing; didn't crash-out)
Thanks Ill give it a shot
i don't see noticible changes in this release
i even say that this release is worse than 3972 release
there was intro sound in zelda TP (from 4112,4113 i think) now it has hone
there is glitches in graphics (can be noticed in the intro screen of zelda TP)
+ the wiimote plugin isn't detected anymore and i can't run any wii game
pull yourself together guys, you are hearding to the wrong way
Darknight, this release actually does have improvements - although those improvements are better seen if you have a less powerful machine like mine. I used to get maybe 10/30 FPS in TP, now I get 20-25/30 FPS.
However, you're not wrong in that there are problems. Windwaker for me misses some graphics, in both Zelda games sounds were weirdly positioned and using the start menu had the ability to crash the game or make it go at 0.3/30 FPS indefinitely (as did the odd door in Twilight princess).
But as I said, there were speed improvements for me which means somewhere the team were headed in the right direction, however somehow this seems to have made some more problems. Pity the speed in this version hasn't been in any versions since.
I haven't got any wii games so can't say anything about them.
i admit it, there is speed improvement in this release but with all the problems that have appeared i can't say that there is improvement (in general)
as for the wii problem, there is no need to have wii games to see that when you click on "configure" then "plugins", you see that the text field in the wiimote plugin is empty and when you click on to configure it it says that "the wiimote pugin could not be loaded".
the dev team has noticed this problem and identified the cause (see the twitter account), i don't understand why didn't they do anything about it?
Oh I see, I did notice that wiimote problem myself - it's been there for ages now hasn't it?
And I agree, in general it's not too much of an immediate improvement.
Now to wait for next release

yeah
hope all this will be fixed soon
Make a version where it could play THE BEATLES ROCKBAND PLEASE

What makes you think you would be able to play it?
At this stage in development, i highly doubt you will be able to get through a single song with full fps without desync

What Diddy said. If you want to play it so bad them buy a Wii
Just a note to anyone that tries to play GameCube games on Windows: It does not work if the game trying to be played is The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Um, yeah, that game apparently uses TLB and Dolphin apparently does not support that (at least, not the version mentioned in this thread). Perhaps revision 4493 supports that, but it is hard to tell, since it does not appear to support its own plug-ins! (laughing out loud, perhaps at self and at the fact that the program has difficulty with its own plug-ins (at least the one for the GameCube controller, although I would suspect that that is not the only plug-in having issues))
I just looked, the version that I had may have actually been older than this even. I downloaded it from
The Emulator Zone.
Perhaps I did have that version. It returns the error that I had mentioned about TLB.
