The great thing with these player edit options is tho, that it actually stays saved on the Roster file on the hard disk. I took this roster file and loaded it on another computer within the game and everything stays how it should! And I don't even have codes activated on this computer. It probably stays there saved forever.
You can even go ahead and edit other things on the same "no helmet" player. Nothing brakes, everything works.
That's pretty good news. So whatever we hack back (like helmets for example), it stays there, on any machine in the world

But since we haven't found the CCM 492 helmet model yet, we might actually take the Cooper helmet from goalies and switch use for the regular skaters?
What do you think, doable? I mean the similar system as "no helmet", just with the "style 3" goalie helmet.
You find it when you edit goalie> equipment> style 3. That is the legendary Cooper helmet. We need that without that steel thing on face tho, for the regular skater.

I'm planning to do little series about the tools you made and about how it allows me finally after so many years improve the gameplay significantly. Fix some of the legacy issues that have been in the game forever etc.
Next vid should be about the presentation aspects. How we work on the authentic broadcast camera, puck, no helmet feature, 3d crowd hopefully and some other things eventually. All the texturing work I made last 3 years of course too.

Trying to figure out the crowd is still hard. I made a guy appear in an arena with no crowd:

I also made an AR code to try to avoid crowd crashing, but I don't know if I'll be able to prevent it. The code won't work right away from a savestate unless you start dolphin in debug mode, apply code, then do JIT -> clear JIT cache.

I'm still tweaking the values, but I very happy with what we accomplished with the gameplay codes. It is a different game now, the best gameplay 2k hockey ever had by far. We are good

Would be great if we can finish/clean the side camera stuff before the release. It kinda brings me a headache when it spins on the faceoffs. Also brings the 2d crowd to your face, unfortunately.
I actually got some idea, how we might approach the faceoff spin, so hopefully, it won't be terribly hard as the crowd stuff.
But ya, we still got few some time, so it's all good!
