And I think both is correct, speed and animation.

Well, I have limited options for testing right now, just with the notebook at work, but it seems to be fixed.

If you only knew how much grey hairs it costs me through all these years, when I tried to solve it with the game sliders and attributes Big Grin
Well keep testing it, it could have unintended consequences. Like Defenders being too aggressive when their team has the puck.

The puck shadow won't help and I don't have any ideas for tracking the model code down.
Just watched full ai vs ai game (3x10 minute period) and this is truly a game changer. Not only it is obvious from the 1st time the puck drop, just bay to watching the game. But at the end, before this fix when I looked at the stats after match there were like 20 breakaways for each team! The game was essentially broken. It was terrible at times. I know that people would not get over this. And I honestly wouldn't blame them. It sucked all the challenge from the game.

Well after this fix we got like 2 or 4 breakaway for the whole match. And that is basically how it works in the real world. And it affects everything. It is a different game now in it's core.

You are right that defenders now seems a lot more aggressive and that is right, for the most part. I was little worried that they might hustle all the time (and even that would be better than the bug), but no, I see them use other animations, gliding, skating backwards, LT moves etc.
A lot of them are way too fast, but thanks to your codes I now have the tools to fix these issues the right way. Now I can nicely tune it down with the other codes and make the game as physics based as possible.

It is a historical day for all the hockey videogames fans, especially on PC! Big Grin
We've been really lucky a few times with finding the right codes.

I can't find the edit player option. Could you give me a short guide to editing the default practice AI player?
You need to go to main menu.
From there Manage roster>Team roster and pick a player you have in practice mode.

You can see his name on back of jersey, for example.
If you tell me his name I can tell in which team you can find him
Ya, hit A button on a selected player and a menu pop-up, from there edit player
Oh, I gotcha. Use d-pad buttons there

If the d-pad isn't working, please try reconnect the controller in the Dolphins menu.
After a quick look, my best guess is that hustle might determine when a defender can start sprinting based on how far from their goal they are. Could be other factors, but I did see a small change in the code I edited to fix the problem when hustle changed.
Hm, interesting.
And puck the puck handle attribute? I honestly can't see any difference. And I test it with whole team with this value at Max and minimum and haven't noticed anything really different

Same with the passing accuracy slider.
Be harder to find those in the code.

I massively upped the value for the defender bug and after I broke away from the defender he kept gaining momentum until he rushed into me from behind and propelled me into the wall near his goal. lol it's quite funny, maybe I should make it a gecko code.
