So am I understand it correctly, you want me.to use that old gecko side view code, this new gecko "$Camera sideview position unlock" and this new AR "$Camera Sideview position change first two", all these 3 codes at once?
Then I should open cheat manager and try changing the last "0" values in 449C4000 and C5354000 randomly, hit apply and see what it does?
Yeah all 3. You can either change the AR code while the game is running and re-save it, or use the debugger (no AR). 449C4000 is a float, you change the whole thing and can use a float to hex converter. 449C4000 = 1250, so if you wanted to try 1000, you'd put 1000 into a converter and it'd tell you to use 447a0000. There are probably a few more values I need to find to fully tune the position.
aw man, you just made me addicted to the changing values in hex converter, I could do that days and weeks haha
Briliant work!

yes, there are still few issues to solve, but what a game this shaping in!
The no1. problem I see that the second value is not a really "zoom", but camera position where you can move the camera front or back, which is not what the camera would do in the real life and kinda breaks the immersion.
Do you think you could look at the code, where I could tune the actual zoom of the camera?
The no2 issue is that movement the camera does just when the puck drops at faceoffs. I'm sure you can see this too..
But all around, it is crazy good. Im so happy man, wonderful job

And yes, there are no bugs, no game breaking bugs at all!

The camera works even in the Zamboni mode, what a beauty

Also I was wondering if you don't mind if I put you and your name in the mod credits? I don't feel like it's just mine project anymore

You spend so much effort and time on it..
Yeah I want to find the camera height and zoom. It'd also be nice to find the camera focal point (the puck). You're probably right about looking at the option's values for that. You said you changed the zoom, so I'm guessing the options already affects it?
I think you can disable any of the gecko codes after you apply them for a moment, it'll still work and avoid bugs. I'll see if I can find the bug for the puck drop too.
Thanks for offering to credit me. I'm not particularly interested in receiving credit for anything I do, but you can throw "One More Try" in the mod credits if you want

yes, but I changed zoom just via Dolphins "free camera" feature

So it's not really usable for anything other than textures creation.
If we put the camera in front instead of using zoom, then as the camera pan to sides, it looks kinda wrong/ not natural.
So I looked at that puck drop camera bug, frame by frame in that video and it is just that the camera is switching from that random arena camera view to our new side view on the fly, once again as the puck drop on the ice. So as the puck drops it switch from any of that random camera position (from the default game preset list, as you said) to the side view.
It is all very quick, but it is easily noticeable if you slow down the video.
Ya, I'll throw you there for sure, you deserve it!

)
As I play more, I did notice why you said earlier that you don't wanna mess with the actual presets

Because now whenever the game chooses some of the "arena camera presets", it chooses the side view. It's obvious, especially during the off-play sequences, the game now pick our side view every time.
Yeah one of the final things to do would be to fix stuff like that or tie it to a single camera option in the game menu that it would replace.

That would be the best solution I think..
