ah, okay thanks Smile
I'm curious how you can optimize the code with less demanding benches. Maybe it's not that noticeable at the end and fps improve. Fingers crossed!
I can't isolate the bench guys from the active players. I was looking for their animation trigger, but haven't found that either. I modified one LOD distance checks to change how it decreases quality. Not sure if it does anything. Give it a check with the AR code OFF, but keep the newest gecko code I gave you ON.

Try separately:
$distance LOD LQ
C2D946CC 00000001
54000776 00000000
$Distance LOD MQ
C2D946CC 00000001
540007B8 00000000

sure thing!
and these latest are the gecko, right?
So tested it all and got some interesting results.

As you said the models look quite significantly worse (as expected), what I find really interesting tho is that the performance did not improve all that much, if at all haha
Maybe 2 or 4 fps better? Maybe.
So I think the conclusion is that it just not worthy, with such a visual decrease.

I run task manager in another window to see how is it affecting the CPU and the GPU. So that hasn't changed too, surprisingly.
Cpu runs around 60-70% and the GPU at those critical places around 96%. Ya, even with pretty bad LOD. Which is pretty high considering I use 1080ti.

So ya, I don't know Big Grin
Maybe we should just give this a rest for now. I think you must really hate it already hah
I don't wanna bother you with this all that much, so you have still some energy to look at other less frustrating things like that camera hack and some speed animation hacks.

What do you think? Smile
I'd like to find bench animations and turn them off. That might be it.
Do you want me to look if the benches are alive in the xbox360 version?
Don't think that's necessary.
Surprise new codes! I found where the bench animation is initially toggled on and off and that section of code helped me find some neat stuff!

First, performance testing:
Only toggle bench animations (and maybe quality is tied to this as well):
$AR Bench Toggle use alone:
04774F68 00000001

Gecko performance test. Use with the Standard AR+Good Gecko combo code. Don't use with above AR code.
$Gecko Performance Test

90640090 7C0802A6
60000000 00000000
C2D96E18 00000003
80650090 60630200
90650090 80B00420
60000000 00000000

And a surprise that I have NOT thoroughly tested. AR use alone:
$AR Surprise
0439D20C 00000000
0439E2A4 00000000

OR

$AR Surprise Moving Camera
0439D20C 00000000
0439E2A4 00000002

The surprise messes up the camera, but I will separate camera issues from the code later.
Aw man, that sound awesome!! Smile)
And now when I have to be at work! Sad

Hopefully I'll manage to get away little sooner today and test everything!

And what is that surprise? Come on tell me, please Smile

Honestly, you and Tino are the most amazing people I found on the internet.
You are doing so much for this project and me personally and you are not even fans of the game, if I understand it correctly.
You guys are truly amazing Smile
So I understand you found some neat stuff regards the camera, does it mean you could make the game using that broadcast (side) camera angle as I suggested earlier?? Wow!
