You do realize that dolphin isn't utilizing all four of your cores, right.
Maybe that will explain the deficiency in speed.
Look at James post for the config (Keep in mind different games sometimes use different settings)

You see people with better fps ( btw, You didn't tell us your fps yet ) with a c2d because a c2d is much simpler as a i7 , And dolphin only uses TWO CORES.

i got 50 fps with supersmashbrothers melee and only 18 to 20 on tatsunoko vs capcom

Do you have any kind of Malware on your pc?
Press print screen on your keyboard. Paste the pic on paint. Save it. click on
advanced reply and add an attachment in the proper directory.
Okay here it is the configs and know this pc is brand new and i run malwarebytes everyday.
Enable Lock threads to cores.
Uncheck Enable Cpu--> EFB
See where setting Native Resolution gets you. (Lower settings)
Toggle Full Screen.

Well i 've got the results SBM was running pretty smooth until it i had a battle with people on one board then the fps dropped dramtically. as you can see in the screen shots. and PBR had some good fps in some parts but in gameplay it was terrible ill show you the fps. and also the text is horrible.
ditch the AA and lower the resolution
Are you on lightning melee?
I don't think PBR goes anywhere near full speed on any machine.
How does Tatsunoko vs Capcom run?
Try Pausing all active torrents. Those take up alot of processing power ya know..
