Hello,

First at all, I apologize if this is a common, or already solved issue.
I made some quick research, but without real results.

*** Story - may be skipped ***

I am actually using Dolphin 5.0 on my computer.
Took few time to setup & cofigure it, but all good, and I enjoy it.

I bought a NVIDIA Shield Android TV few days ago.
And of course, one of the first thing I tryed was to play game with.

After some issues, all went fine, except, and that's why I'm here, when I tryed to use Dolphin with games, on my TV.
Here what I got.

***************************

I'm using Dolphin 5.0 x64 on my computer.
My TV is on, NVIDIA Shield started and setup.

I start Dolphin, start a game (Mario Kart : Double Dash).
Go to TV, start "dolphin" on GameStream, and just got a black screen.
(With yellow line top-left), and the sound.

Also, how may I setup the Shield controller, or others controller connected on the Shield device?
(Afaik, they are setup and binded to Nvidia setup, while Dolphin see & know computer device)

Main Goal - help:
- Be able to use Dolphin / play games on my TV through NVIDIA Shield.

Second Goal - help:
- Be able to connect any devie to my shield (gamecube manette (or other)<=>USB adaptater<=>shield<=>computer (dolphin)

Maybe I'm missing some mandatory or obvious settings, or informations to you.
Feel free to tell me, i'll be happy to update my post, and provide as much details as possible.
(And if possible, make a simple tutorial for ncomming help about these issues / questions)
Graphics > Backend > Set it to Direct3D 11 or Direct3D 12.

Gamestream doesn't play nice with OpenGL renderers, which Dolphin defaults to.
Hello,

Thank you for your answer.
It does the trick, partially.

The render only work if I choose to not be in fullscreen, and shield controller doesn't work.

Any tips about that?

Not fullscreen = see the desktop taskbar on the bottom.
And sure, shield controller not set = can't play.
Weird.

Graphics > Advanced > Borderless fullscreen (Might be called disable exclusive fullscreen or whatever)

As for the controller, you have to map it once while you're streaming. It's a pain, but it is what it is. Also try enabling Background Input in Controllers > Configure
Hey,

Gonna test it asap.

For the controller, same, gonna check.
Just tested before, without 'background input', but the controller wasn't detected, like others.
(Others = PC controller (plug with USB) on the computer.
And yeah, just had to setup it, but nothing bad.

But the shield controller is linked to the Shield box, so not sure my computer will detect it.
(anyways, that's speculation, will update my answer as soon as i'll be able to test)
Hello,

It was a success with fullscreen borderless, thanks a lots.

Now, an issue with basic usb controller.
Joystick can be set, but button aren't reconized.
(Work fine on PC, not when pluged on Shield box)

Any ideas?
(will check and search across internet again, in case of...)
Gamestream doesn't pass through arbitrary USB devices. Nothing you can do there.
So basically, you only can use NVIDIA controller or plug it on your computer?

Anyways, thank you a lots for your help and the support about it.
