for some odd reason, i can only run gamecube games. not only that, but the only way that i can run any gamecube game on any build, is by disabling the jit thing, and enabling the dual core. i tried upgrading my graphics drivers (nvidia) to 2.1, and downgrading to 1.8 (or 180, whichever it is).
with wii games however, the emulator just crashes. it dosen't matter on what the game is.
now, before downgrading to 1.8, i have gotten errors about "not being able to create opengl renderers..." and after downgrading, i wouldn't get that issue, but i would still get the message "fail to grab 1gb"
i would really appreciate any help if any is offered (of course).
also, if this kind of topic has already been mentioned elsewhere, can you point me to it?
thank-you
WOW You have issues,
Ok
1. Uninstall Your graphic drivers
2. Reinstall the newest version
3.That should have gotten rid of the opengl renderer issue if your graphics card supports opengl 2.1
4. Disable Your anti virus and that might help with the second error. There really is no fix for it.
5. Also Make Sure You have enough Paged memory available
That should eliminate all issues
Just so you know you won't be able to play fullspeed with such a weak cpu

i'm perfectly fine with not getting fullspeed. i just want to be able to play with over 5 fps. also, i don't have kasperky, just trend micro. also, just to be clear, are you saying that if my graphic drivers are 2.1 that i won't be getting the opengl errors? because i don't have those if i downgraded the drivers.
i have 10 gb of paged memory, and i use gamebooster ( i haven't after downgrading the graphics drivers, but i should anyway).
but i'm wondering if the problem will go away if my computer is a dual/quad core computer, or if my graphics card has 1gb of memory.
just follow my steps. And also not only kasperky does it. There are a couple others which i can't think of the names of right now

ok, i'm not sure if i should uninstall the graphics driver. my graphics card didn't come with a cd to install from, so should i just install the newest opengl drive, because after i installed the newest opengl drive i still got the problem where the program "can't create opengl renderer".
also, i'm using trend micro antivirus, and it's only using 25mb of ram.
1. Uninstall, you can still boot windows without one.
2. I know it just means dolphin can't access the memory. Not that it's being used
10gb of paged ram is stupid. That's "virtual" ram on the hdd. Slow as heck.
okay, looks like after UNinstalling the 180 nvidia drive and installing the 191.07 driver eliminated the "can't create opengl renderer" problem. =)
however, after exiting out of the trend micro program, i still get the "fail to grab 1gb of contiguous memory" problem. =( i'm guessing the problem dosen't have to do with my ram, but with something else. such as my service pack. i was able to run ssbm on build 2195 (not at full speed of course, lol), but i'm guessing that after the service 2 pack came out, i was screwed over.
also, @ boogerlad, what do you mean? should i not use any virtual ram? or should i use more? i don't quite get you.
don't use that much. Virtual memory is used when your low on real ram and the more you have the quicker it kicks in. Try around 3gb
How do you start the game ?
If you're using File > Open, then that could be the reason behind the "failed to grab 1GB of memory" error..
Try to add the folder which contains the game to Dolphin using the "Browse" button.
