Extract it in any directory. Just make sure that you don't extract it exactly where another version of Dolphin already is. If you do extract it on top of another version of Dolphin, sometimes outdated game INIs from the old version (that don't exist in the new version) will be used by the new version, which might lead to problems.

It makes sense though that that would hose the performance. If I set my IR to 4x Native or 6x Native, what should I set my fullscreen resolution to? Still 3840x2160?
Set it to what your monitor uses (or pick Auto to get your monitor's resolution automatically).
fullscreen resolution doesn't matter, only internal resolution matters
The higher IR the better graphic

Why not just use 4xIR (Internal Resolution) + 4x MSAA or 6xIR + no AA
Btw , Directx12 is way better than OpenGL , especially when you play game at 4k
In most case, AA will help you get rid of jaggies but it also has a side-effect : blurry graphic
I never use anything higher than 4xIR so I don't know but 6xIR + IshiirukaFX (optional) should work best for you
What build are you using where you have those options? Even on the latest dev build I still see Direct3D 12 as "experimental" and I don't have the other options like post-processing.
Ignore the IshiirukaFX part. We don't support that.
D3D12 is still experimental, that is correct. For nvidia GPUs though you should use OpenGL. It is extremely fast on nvidia and D3D12 only beats it marginally in most cases, a healthy amount in a small handful of games. OpenGL is also a hell of a lot more stable and D3D12 may be getting dropped in the future.
Anyways, to simplify admin89's post:
If you want to have the ideal image quality and performance, set IR (Internal Resolution) to whatever IR is closest to your display's resolution.
Then set anti aliasing to 2-4x SSAA.
I did some additional testing last night with all of your advice, got some great results. Now up and running at stable 30fps, bluetooth passthrough working great. Is there any way to set fps cap to 60?
Short answer, no.
Longer answer, you need to use AR/Gecko codes to modify the game to run at 60. This varies from game to game and you have to find these codes yourself in many cases, or make them.
30 frames is not a limitation with Dolphin, but a limitation with the game. Dolphin just emulates the speed at which the game was designed. There are only a few games that have variable framerates that don't affect game speed. Some games run at 60 by itself.

That's kind of what I figured. I'm completely satisfied to run at 30, just thought I would see if it was something easily changed in the dolphin .ini files or something. Thanks!
