Hi all,

I had been using sucessfully the mayflash dolphin bar with dolphin 5.0 and previous stable releases for a number of months. Recently however the wiimotes keep connecting and disconnecting once i load a game. I have searched and not found a solution.

The Wii remotes are genuine (not limited to one) the motion plus module is genuine (as far as i can tell) removing this and/or the nunchuks has no effect, the Dolphin bar has the latest firmware, i have tried it in the various modes on the Dolphin bar, I have tried removing all other various perihperals, it is not limited to one particular game. I have tried the latest development builds, I have tried with and with out the speaker, with and without continuous scanning, Refreshing in the real wiimotes section causes the controllers to vibrate and on occasion the vibration will remain on.

Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks

This exact thing is happening to me. I tried to play a game today after not using Dolphin since 7 November and now every game I try to launch has the same error. I have a Dolphin Bar and real Wii MotionPlus remotes that have worked flawlessly for the past few years. I'm using Windows 10. I wonder if some Windows Update changed something. Any ideas?
Please bisect (find out the first version where it's broken).

If you're on Windows, Helios' tool will be very helpful: https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-green-notice-development-thread-unofficial-dolphin-bisection-tool-for-finding-broken-builds

The thing is that I have not updated Dolphin in any way since 5.0 stableĀ came out. It literally worked one day, and did not the next.
Oh okay. Must be an issue with your system then, though I'm not sure what would cause this…

I downloaded the latest dev build and it is working again. Weird.

I have not had the same luck unfortunately none of the development builds have worked for me. Does anyone have any suggestions ?
I'm having this problem too in the Mac version of Dolphin.

Question: the System Preferences method for pairing Bluetooth is not working for me, I'm presuming it is a passcode issue. The pairing guide says that you can pair directly in Dolphin, and this works for me (getting the rumble), but in System Preferences it is still providing me an option to pair even though the menu shows connectivity. Does Dolphin essentially provide its own bluetooth pairing, bypassing the system's?

If my pairing is not an issue, the problem I'm getting is just as described in this thread: immediate disconnects whenever I press a button. This is happening with the most recent dev build too.

I'm able to get Okami to work, so it seems like this might just be a Mac + Wiimote Plus issue? Anybody able to get Dolphin working with Skyward Sword on a Mac?

I'm not sure if this is related to your issue but I solved mine. It was due to a hardware fault with the dolphin bar itself - the leds had burned out. I believe you can check them by using a smartphone camera while the bar is on the leds should glow Or you can check them using a multimeter.
