I'm pretty sure they were just experimenting with it in case VR exploded like so many people seemed to think it would. Nintendo isn't one to jump into the latest fads or technologies, but they are smart about investigating them and leaving the door open to change if they might benefit from it.
But it did explode....and it's still exploding. Is doubling the number of users every year somehow not considered exponential growth? How can it be on the decline if HMD and software sales are both still growing every year?
Bought Puyo Puyo Tetris and got addicted to it. Classics never die.
got my switch.
i was still saving money for it, but i realised the Nvidia thing has been known to long and every second i was waiting was to long.
so i got it. playing zelda now... finally xD
Kirby Star Allies anyone?
I got my Switch at launch with Breath of the Wild and 1 2 Switch (which I played like 1 2 times)
Currently my physical library consists of:
1 2 Switch (Don't buy it, it's not worth the 60 Euro price point, only take it when it's like 5 or 10 Euro

)
Bayonetta 2
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
Sonic Forces
Splatoon 2
Super Mario Odyssey
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of he Wild + DLC
Ultra Street Fighter 2: The New Challengers
Xenoblade Chronicles 2 + DLC
And downloadable:
Bayonetta (Free with the physical release of Bayonetta 2)
Brawlout (Super Smash Bros clone, I really like it)
Darkest Dungeon + DLC (Nice non-standard RPG)
Golf Story (Really good RPG about the sport Golf and has multiplayer Versus Golf)
Guns Gore and Cannoli (Quite a nice Metal Slug clone with a Versus Deathmatch mode as well as 4-player co-op)
Oxenfree (Adventure game)
Sonic Mania
Yodanji (Roguelike, absolute winner which I bought for 2 Euro)
If anyone was looking, Walmart in the US has the Nintendo Switch Dock on sale for $60. Just picked one up, and now I finally have a dock in my bedroom. Goodbye productivity
Regarding the Nintendo Direct...

Still (negatively) impressed how they managed to make the graphics worse in the announced 3DS port of Luigi's Mansion. The trailer looks worse than both the original GC game and the sequel they released on 3DS in 2013...
Sonicadvance1 had the same response, but... Have you looked at the game lately? It hasn't aged all that well. I think people are just remembering it as being better than it was.
The last time I played the original GC game was in Dolphin, so I don't have many memories of how it looked on the real console. Buuuuuuut I recently finished Dark Moon again
(for the 3rd time already) on my brother's 2DS and the reveal trailer from today definitely looks worse. On the bright side, they only gave a vague release date, so I hope the port improves at least a little until its final release...
