Oh god, Comcast internet makes me cry. I also have bad experiences with Comcast routers being shit. Unfortunately I can't provide any data based on it being docked or not since I almost never have mine docked.
I'm lucky enough to have a Ethernet port and switch next to my TV setup, so I have a USB Ethernet adapter I use with my Switch. No lag in Splatoon and fast downloads.
More Xenoblade 2 spoilers:
It's funny that I made that last post about how I liked chain attacks and then just today I discover that there are, in fact, chain attacks in Xenoblade 2. The game introduces them in the middle of chapter 3, which seems a bit late to me, but oh well. Though they're not exactly the same as they were in the original, I like how they're implemented here. It really works well with the system of Blades and attributes and gives that extra depth I mentioned to fights. So far, I'm really liking this battle system.
I'll admit that I didn't actually notice the resolution shifting, even though I've exclusively played in handheld mode. But I did notice that it drains my battery like a motherfucker, so it's probably for the better. It's a small screen anyway, so luckily it looks fine.
I’ve only seen “bad” resolution once in handheld mode, and it was because of the way I had the camera angled looking at trees
The other issue is low framerate when you play game for long periods of time (maybe more than 2 hours)
FPS could dip as low as 20FPS though this is probably fixable with a patch like Nintendo did with BOTW update .
