Hi everyone !

I've tried to make a texture pack.

This is what it looks like at the moment :

Informations :

- The textures are for the Pal version.
- I've worked on the HUD (french language is mostly done, I'm sure there is some textures missing though, some icons and miscellaneous textures are missing too) and the tracks (tried to make some textures, nothing fancy)

Not bad, it looks quite sharp. I would still recommend you to create this texture pack in English (it should not matter if it is PAL or NTSC-U for English). It is still a nice idea to support French, but the biggest target group out here would be for the English speaking players.

Hopefully, you are able finish this texture pack Smile! It is always sad to see when a texture pack dies. There was this other texture pack for Double Dash here https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-mario-kart-double-dash-cartoon-textures?highlight=mario+kart, but in German only and it seems dead for now. Which is sad since it also was not made in English either. To be honest, I prefer this style over the cartoon style in the other texture pack. Well... Keep it up!
Moved to the HD Texture Forum. Looks good, très bien!
I'm always excited to see texture packs for games that don't have one. This is one of Dolphin's greatest features and it's clearly a very time consuming effort for the pack makers, so I appreciate it when somebody shares one.

Your pack is looking very sharp and stays true to the original game. I really like it. Most people don't pay too much attention to packs that stray far from the original graphics.

Like Admentus suggested, you would reach a much wider audience if you decide to make an English version of your pack.
Trop cool, en plus en Français Smile

Où pourrais-je trouver le tutoriel pour installer ? Et ton mod texture est adapté à 4:3 aussi?

Merci!
Looks decent, keep developing it!

Thanks everyone !

I don't know if I will make it also in English (I've already worked on it for 2 weeks and I'm French so this is why I've made it in French Smile)

I wanted to be as close to the original game, it's taking more time and it's much more difficult (for example, I don't know how I will make the items and the characters, I'm afraid that if I do something, it will be totally different, I will try though)

I will try, can't promise anything though
Here are some pics from my own (english) HD texture pack.  I'd be happy to upload if anyone wants it.  Basically, the entire HUD is complete (racer photos, minimap icons, texts, numbers, items, etc).  I put a lot of work into keeping the appearance close to the original (drivers all facing the original, same direction, looking in the same place, having the same expressions, etc).

Yes! Want! I would appreciate it if you could upload it.

Perhaps you folks can combine efforts if you plan to tackle in-game elements, etc. Both packs look great. Double Dash and a lot of Gamecube games have particularly low resolution textures that stick out like a sore thumb when super-scaling the 3D elements of the game.

C'est bien plus net comparativement à l'original. Une belle cure de jouvence bien nécessaire pour ce jeu. Merci Smile
