Hello there! This is my first post after months of lurking in the forums.
I recently downloaded Dolphin 5.0 revision 709 (because runs smoother than 5.0) and every time i try to open a game with the "Enable Cheats" option enabled, it freezes and i have to force close it by task manager. I've tried enabling the option and activating no AR/Gecko codes and it still freezes. I've searched in the FAQ and in the support forum, but no one seems to have this problem other than me. I've tested SSBM, SSBB, Twilight Princess GC, Metroid Prime and still freezes.

I don't know if this is important, but this didn't happen in Dolphin 5.0 (the stable release)

Feel free to move this where it belongs if i posted it in the wrong forum.

Thanks in advance.

PC specs:
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 B45 (3.1 ghz)
RAM: 4GB Kingston
OS: Windows 10 X64

At the moment the Gecko Codes are broken due to a (apparently wrong) change in the Core. If you want to use them, use Dolphin 5.0-615.
Also, running Dolphin games in D3D11 with AMD doesn't work properly...

That's either a very old regression or an amd driver problem, depending on your point of view:

It's an AMD Driver problem.

I'm aware that AMD CPUs do not work well with Dolphin, but currently i am running games in OpenGL backend.

You can proceed to close this thread, i downloaded 5.0-615 and cheats worked properly. I hope cheats work normally on further revisions.

Many thanksĀ  Big Grin
I just tried some button-activated Gecko codes. They don't work. I thought the devs wanted to make the Gecko Codes to
behave like on a real Wii?

Yes, but that we want something to be done doesn't mean that it has been done.
Most button-activated codes don't work because they require buttons not normally used for a specific game, so Dolphin only enables buttons used in that game, hence why some codes don't work.
