Your CPU is able to handle this game easily, the i5-3570k is a beast Cool

I guess, it's a little problem with your settings. Pls post 'em (as screenshots if possible). You could also try to use the official Dolphin 3.0 release, which is a little bit more faster than newer revisions.

Settings are below, and are the same in both revisions. The brief slowdowns I mentioned were definitely caused by my GPU struggling to render at 4x IR. The card should technically be able to handle it, but don't get me started on the state of those drivers... The fog issue on the newer revisions is different, and is something I can't seem to get rid of regardless of the settings. I've had zero bugs on 3.0-414 so far using the settings below:

Try Direct3D9 as graphics backend, it's faster than OpenGL.

Faster yes, but both DirectX backends have some minor graphics glitches with this game. You need to use the OpenGL backend (with no AF iirc) in order to avoid some image alignment bugs. This is the only game I use OpenGL for, I've used 3D9 for everything else except Skyward Sword (3D11).
Hello (be warned I am on a Mac!!!)! I was pleasantly surprised to find that I was able to play Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance on my (get ready this isn't a 'beast'...) Macbook Pro (10.8/Core 2 Duo/2.4ghz/4gb ddr3). I was able to get quite far, with just a few not that annoying glitches/sounds using Dolphin v3.0-739. Quite playable and enjoyable!

Eventually though, around Chapter 9 or so... I encountered one or two freezes during character conversations. These were fixable by using save-states or skipping conversations...

Then, on Chapter 10 I begin to encounter crashes, with no error report, etc. Specifically I am stuck at the part right when it asks "Are you sure you want to begin?" and hit "Yes!"... and it crashes every time before the battle can really start! I have tinkered with the settings multiple times (I was just using default settings for OS X Dolphin; OpenGL, with no issues until CH10...)... and have tried (randomly selected) a few different recent revisions.

Is there anything I can do? Some kind of specific settings? Or a specific revision? Or is my computer simply not good enough (I am lead to believe it's the emulator/iso since everything runs smoothly otherwise...). Please help! Thanks a bunch!

EDIT: I was able to get past the crash... Using the revision (7414) that was listed on the Wiki for Mac. Except now it crashes when entering a duel (never happened before!) & is generally slower!

Help? :/
. . . Bump? :/
"No error report" is strange :/ Are you using DSPLLE? If not, could you try using it instead of DSPHLE?
I suppose I do get an "Unexpected" quit error report to forward to Apple. But no window from Dolphin or anything...

I don't have LLE, and I don't think I am going to go through the trouble of using/getting it from a Wii... Would the audio switch to LLE make a dramatic difference and prevent crashes? I just feel like there is a specific revision that works with Mac better than any other since this game is considered quite 'playable' on Dolphin. Suppose I should just keep hunting for a near 'perfect' one on my own...

I am fine with dealing with the occasional freeze that I can solve with save states/skipping dialogue. But the crashes are awful. :/ The game ran so surprisingly smoothly too...

LLE solves sound issue but not only. Some games need it to work properly. Just an advice but you might wanna try this

I get that. Can anyone confirm this title NEEDS LLE? On Mac or otherwise?
