Well, i recently installed Dolphin and i can say this: The resource constumption doesn't go directly over the video card. I've a 7900gtx (512MB) and a AMD X2 5200+ and 2 GB RAM, and the Legend of Zelda Wind Waker game goes over 32 FPS in open areas (in the game) and at full speed in closed areas (50 fps), (CPU consuption at 100%). In another system with the same Vcard - RAM and a AMD X2 6000+ goes over 40 FPS in open areas and full speed in closed areas (50 fps) (CPU consuption at 100% ).
I GUESS a bigger Vcard just let you add more filters, effects, and buffering, but if want a full speed emulation gonna' need a bigger CPU... well, that's what i think.....
