Dolphin, the GameCube and Wii emulator - Forums

Could very likely be the single heat sink.  I have the G752 with a 980M and dual heat sinks and dolphin is rock steady in games like 1080 Avalanche,  SMS, wind waker,  all at 3-4x IR and even higher.

i have checked the temp while running it and it hasn't passed 70 degrees
i am mostly sure it has nothing to do with the heat. maybe dolphin needs optimization of some sort for the gtx 960m. if there is any way i could request that can someone let me know. no matter what the in dolphin settings are it runs around 80-90% speed

Optimizations don't work like that.

Have you followed the laptop performance guide? Maybe a reset of settings is nessesary.

Try turning off vsync in both Dolphin and drivers.

i have try'd everything in terms of settings and my laptop doesn't seem to like dolphin.

i have followed the performance guide at least 3 times already for those of you wondering.
