5.0 changed nothing at all (other than the version number) compared to the development version that was immediately before it.

I just tested 4.0-8586 with a friend and it worked (for over an hour too). It was flawless. I'll try to test other versions as well, any other notable ones that I should try?
I don't think? It goes 9507, 9508, 5.0, 5.0-9. Try Testing the builds in the middle.

I too can help if needed. A friend of mine and I were trying to play on the 5.0-321 build and we both were experiencing high ping and we're bordering states.
I have experienced the best luck with 4.0-7840 but I'd like to know what the deal is with the builds. He runs on AMD processing and has great internet speeds might I add.
I could test a bit as well, because I want to start using netplay. However, does anyone know if there's some kind of more or less recent little tutorial or something somewhere? I want to know stuff like: Is it still necessary to share memory cards? (and stuff like that)

The only ones I'm familiar with are
https://dolphin-emu.org/docs/guides/netplay-guide/ (you've probably read it already) and the ones on smashladder.com (they only tell you the steps for getting Smash to work, not netplay in general).
Sharing memory cards is necessary unless no memory cards are inserted.

Though just one question about the memory card sharing: I guess it will be the easiest to just have a Dolphin Netplay folder with portable.txt, set all settings and set one memory card and then just send my friend that whole Dolphin folder... but after that, do we still have to copy over the memory card from me to him after every game session or something? Or is that then done automatically by the "Write to memcards/SD" setting?
