A Friend have an very old pc and I want to know if changing the ram will make any difference. He have a:

- P3 @ 1.1 Ghz ( a piece of shit )
- unknown motherboard
- It only have 3 PCI slots
- WinXP x86

An the most important:

- Ram: SO-Dimm ( ? ) PC133 128mb --> PC133 512mb

He want to know if upgrading his ram could improve something his pc , because he can't buy another pc

Note: the pc is slow as shit
it will improve it alot, but it will still be slow as hell.
enoght to put firefox and msn at the same time ? ( no , he can't execute them together )
all he can do is try, but with a rig like that i wouldnt overload it too much unless the bsod is fun for him
Really , he only had once the bsod
He don't have the money ¬¬

EDIT: Or a PCIe where to put that cards
Or a pc to run dolphin

What would happen if I OC that CPU ?
I've done a LOT of research when it comes to ram.

FPS difference between large amounts of ram (Ex. 2GB -> 6GB) is 3-4 at best. (Can't comment below 2GB, as that's the size of my RAM sticks)
The difference between say, 800mhz and 1600mhz is .25-1 FPS at best.
However, Timings are different. While they give you no increase in FPS, general Windows performance increases considerably.
