hey guys i was wondering what is custom cause i saw that on the dolphin dev kit

Please read the description in the settings window.

What do you mean by "dev kit" anyway?

They most probably meant development version, even though dev kit != dev version

If you need to ask, you probably (definitely) won't be using it.

thanks for the nice reply cause im still new to this whole dev kit thing cause ive never seen this before but i know what a devkit build is

RTC=Real Time Clock. It means that the emulator, instead of using your internal(PC) clock, will use whatever clock you set up in the settings/advanced menu. Like Kurausukun said, you probably won't be using it anyways.

Also, please stop calling it "devkit." Dev in this case is short for "development." There is no such "kit" anywhere in this instance.

and u dont need to be rude ok i still call them dev kits cause thats where they came from and dont be an ass to me ok

Kurausukun was not being rude to you, they were just pointing out that you were referring to them incorrectly. "dev" is short for Development, and is just a shorthand commonly used here.

As for devkits, Dolphin has absolutely nothing to do with devkits! If anyone uses a devkit and SDK then implements something into Dolphin, they are violating the non-disclosure agreement of the SDK, opening themselves and possibly Dolphin to legal liability. It is absolutely incorrect to use that term to refer to development builds.

Kurausukun is right, no need for offense. You can call them Builds, as the Developer get together to compile everything into one Build (Dolphin) whenever they see fit to make an update. You either have the Stable Build(version) or the Daily build(Dev version). It is not meant to be rude or anything, it is just to instruct you that the terms you used are in fact incorrect, If you go to the download section of the official Dolphin page, you will notice the "terms" they use for each one.
