Honestly, the 3DS rakes in 3rd party devs like nobody's business. If only the Wii U could even some decent level of support...

Loved metroid fusion. Had kind of a scifi horror feel to it.
I think devs are just waiting for the NX

yeah I beat it a while back. The glitched beams are awesome (but ridiculously unstable). hint: charged beam + super missile != charged beam + missile != charged beam into wall.

Yes, Metroid 5 needs to happen. I'm still wondering what happens to Samus after Metroid Fusion. I loved that game, Zero Mission as well. I never played Super Metroid until my friend let me borrow his SNES + the game years ago (mid 2000s) but I played that thing from start to finish, definitely an experience I'll never forget.

I think everyone is waiting for the NX. I have not bought a Wii U on the chance that the NX will be backwards compatible, somehow. Until then, I'm chilling on 3DS games + expanding my GB, GBC, and GBA library (no, not through VCs, the real carts). Basically buying all the games I wanted as a kid but couldn't get back then.
Last Splatfest.
If they can't spare an intern for 5 minutes to come up with a theme then "very close to completion" Pikmin 4 is as good as NX'd. There's still Paper Mario Color Splash, but Sticker Star has emptied the hype meter.
It would take a lot more than an intern and 5 minutes to come up with new splatfests.
New artwork for each team.
Dialogue for Callie and Marie, and localize that for each supported language. (Reminder that each region also has different splatfest, so this and the above x3)
And then get that all approved by higher ups x3.
Keep this all coordinated between the three regions too, and Nintendo isn't good at that.
Sure the server rotations and mode switches could be automated (and already are), but there's more work involved than just "5 minutes and an intern"
