I play on Dolphin Mario Party 9, and I get distorted sound on specific occasions. For example after a minigame is done, and the stars are given to each player, a minor FPS drop along with a distorted sound keep occuring. If anyone knows how to fix that I'd appreciate it.
The only way to get full speed sound is to have a full speed framerate.
Is the framerate drop continual during the scene, or does it only happen very briefly?

It's continual and it happens till I go back to the map
Sounds like the game is too demanding at that part. Try lowering any enhancements you have turned on to see if that helps.
