how close is dolphin to perfect emulation and how long until it gets there?
The "perfect" (cycle accurate) snes emulator recommends a 3 ghz+ processor. This would be insane. Maybe in like 10 years it will happen.
Dolphin is already capable at high level accuracy already. The main issue is shader stuttering which is supposed to be fixed in 6.0
Dolphin isn't even 60% of the way toward good emulation on Wii. Defining good as the games run without big issues.
no i mean games working without any problems sounds like they're getting there i just want to know how close they are
No such thing, and the rate of CPU progression, it would be much longer than 10 years.
Depends on your definition of "perfect"...
