Yes, the 710M is an even weaker GPU. Even the iGPUs in modern Intel CPUs should beat it.

What Helios was suggesting was obviously not a mobile i3, but a desktop i3, which is completely different.

Yeah , I'm not surprised at all . You're comparing a dual core to a quad core and that quad core has much higher clock speed
I think it's time for you to replace the whole PC(not include PSU , GPU , PC case) . i3 6100 @ 3.7GHz + H110 combo is quite cheap IMO and you have a chance to upgrade your RAM to DDR4 (32 bucks for 8GB crucial version) .Though RAM doesn't matter in Dolphin but man , people yearn for dat DDR4
i3 6100 should be on par with OCed Pentium G3258 4.2GHz in Dolphin and it's a lot faster than Core 2 Quad in multithreaded application

Not everybody is interested in running the latest AAA PC game title.
Me neither, and fwiw, I don't play any PC games, but when a desktop GPU does not handle 3x IR for an emulator either, it's slow. Very slow.

Oh and by the way, Dolphin supports DX12 and there is a WIP Vulkan backend, so this does matter.
