Ok, so I've got a problem with my gamepad. I've searched around and found others with kinda similar problems, but either no solution or not similar enough.

My problem is that my gamepad, which is a GameSir G3s (cheap chinese brand, but pretty decent quality, also wireless) is not being recognized fully in Dolphin 5.0. It recognizes my gamepad in the dropdown list, and it will recognize all buttons, including rumble functionality, except for "B", "X", "Y", "Select", "Left Control Stick Click", and "Right Control Stick Click". I can do without the control stick clicking, and even the select button, but the "B", "X", and "Y" buttons are essential. Note that the "A" button works fine.

In my control panel when I look at the Controller Settings, all the inputs are recognized and working, and when I play other games they all work fine. Only Dolphin is having problems, so I don't believe this is a controller issue, I think it's a Dolphin issue.

Hi, I am having exactly the same problem and I dont have idea what is the problem and what to do... I am very frustrated because seems to be a dolphin problem, the Xinput works perfect in any situation and program..
If anybody can help would be great, thanksin advance.

Hey man, maybe you and me can try to figure some of this stuff out together. What controller are you using? Are you using and other programs like joy to key programs?

I have the Gamesir G3s.., I am using GlovePie to play Gamecube games but the emulation of the left stick (character control) have a microshutter that is very frustrating so Im triying to fix this problem, probably I open a thread to talk about this and maybe I can help someone or someone could help me.
I have found the solution !! You have to turn the controller pressing "A" button and then connect to your PC thru USB ...
Then in dolphin you will have 4 options.. something like Dinput/n/GameSirG3v 1.00 you have to select the four option and works all except the rumble and the precision with the R2 and L2 triggers

Had to register just to get in on this discussion, I didn't think there'd be much info/help out for me on this issue. If I'm understanding right, does this mean you'll always have to play with the Gamesir plugged in? Or is it just during setup?

I'm trying to get a comprehensive living room emulation setup going and plugging in won't be an option. So if that's the case I guess I'll have to stick with the Xbox controllers. Undecided

I found the solution for this problem with the Gamesir G3s, it is quite simple:

X + Home (G button) = XInput
Only the X led turns on. In that mode Dolphin can't recognize X, Y, B buttons

To solve this, you have to use DInput mode, you have to press only the Home button, that way Android and X leds will turn on.

But… there is a catch, if you already used X + Home and turned off the controller, the next time you press Home, the controller automatically chooses XInput. So, you just have to turn on the controller using A + Home (Android mode), then turn off the controller and press only the Home button.

Sometimes the only thing you need is press A + Home and then Android led turn on, seconds later X led turn on.
You don’t need to use cable, just the wireless dongle.

BTW
I don’t know how to activate the rumble option in DInput or XInput. I hope somebody help me with that.

danipod and abisoxth, just signed up to thank both of you!! I own a Gamesir G3 too and had the same problem till I find this thread.
Now it's all working.
I made the mistake of buying this piece of crap controller as well and no, connecting it in directinput (android) mode is NOT a solution because in this mode you don't have access to the analog triggers making games which require L and R to be analog will become unplayable, for example, Super Mario Sunshine, Smash, Luigi's Mansion, Metroid Prime, and more.

I'm not sure why it doesn't work with Dolphin, it works with everything else.

Does this method work with the matricom xyba? (basically the same thing as the gamesir but with a different logo on the controller)
