Are you using the Direct3D backend?
I'm unable to launch Dolphin 5.0 at all on Mac. Just get the message:
"Dolphin has quit unexpectedly.
Click Report to see more detailed information and send a report to Apple."
Any ideas?
Using 10.9.5 Mavericks.

Aren't OS X upgrades free though?

Then why do the readme and FAQ say it is? I haven't heard anything about bumping the OS requirement lately.

Yes they are. I've just been holding out. I might finally upgrade though. Thanks I'll try this out and report back.
I'd upgrade. You definitely want to stay up to date with your OS for many security related reasons.
