With Sudo, SU and gksudo, nothing appears or user error (the program can be not run in privileged mode or can not be found).

SDL (or SDL2) for me is not buggy and his work makes great.

Partial humble solution, re-implement SDL between the various choices of settings.
Looks like Dolphin is not in the PATH then. Launch it with gksudo $(which dolphin-emu)
Also, SDL wasn't completely dropped. IIRC you can still build a version with it if you build Dolphin yourself. But obviously the proper solution is to make evdev work, since SDL has other issues including making Dolphin not react to signals...
Thanks for the explanations and clarifications.

I will try to follow the advice.

evdev problem still here...

the last build for my OS, do not resolve the problem.

I can suggest to open a bug issue in launchpad section?

Thankyou.
Xorg is not involved in this, though it is a good idea to make it ignore your controller or it will conflict with Dolphin. (It seems like Xorg is already ignoring it, so that's fine.)

What problem are you having? Controls not being detected? Did you try launching Dolphin as root to check if it is a permission issue?

Opening a bug in Launchpad will not really help, as the Ubuntu PPA is not maintained by the Dolphin team (AFAIK).
Controls before executing the game are set and recognized all.

Controls after executing the game will not be recognized.

I can not do anything, pressing here and there, nothing happens.

With root I have the same problem.

Probably some incompatibilities/conflict?

Thankyou.

OS Xenial Xerus 16.04 Default settings - Original controller Sony Dualshock.
Hmm, then that's not a permission issue at all. If you enable input display (Movie > Show Input Display), do you see anything when pressing a button?

Nothing, only the on-screen characters, if I understand it.
I was referring to the blue text; you should see something after "P1: " when you press a button. Are you playing a Wii game or a GameCube game? It looks like you configured your controller for Wii games, but not for GameCube games.

Also some Wii games can use both the Wiimote and the GameCube controller at the same time, and conflicts can happen, so try disabling the GameCube controller in these games.
