Quote:Are you setting the resolution to 4k through youtube?
Yes , I did
I can't see it unless I look really close to the screen...
At lower resolution , It's impossible to see . Not all the people have good internet connection ...(not include me though)

Oh wait, it's probably a difference in screen size. Im at 43 inches. I'll use fraps next time then. ^.^

BTW, I think you got your fps needs mixed up. Should be 120fps for 1080p and 60fps for 4k.

I think gtaV will get 60 fps at 4k with a 1080 no problem. On my 970 I can get anywhere from 30-60 fps with custom settings at 4k, and the 1080 is supposed to have at least 20% gain over the Titan x and the Titan X is around 46% stronger than a 970, so rough educated guess, I think you will be good.

I see, so were not at the point yet where 120fps is achievable @ 4K? I forgot to mention I plan on modding Skyrim and playing other heavy games on my list and wishlist.

Hahaha, not even close man. The 1080ti probably won't even be the 4k 120fps card. That will probably be the next generation TI card (1180ti) If I had to estimate, the 1080 will be the 45-50 fps card (Ultra Settings) with 60fps being possible on medium/high settings.

For skyrim it may be different, it is an older game, so if you were playing the base at 4k, then it may be possible, but I know some mods can be very intensive. So for skyrim it may come down to what mods you use.
Probably due to GTX 1080's performance , Nintendo may plan to switch over to Nvidia Pascal !
Quote:The Nintendo NX was meant to be powered by an AMD design, but according to our sources, Nintendo is working with NVIDIA and will use a Pascal-based Tegra chip inside of their next-gen Nintendo NX console.

That basically confirms that the new console won't be backwards compatible

I thought so
Anyway , here is the benchmark people are waiting for
http://www.pcgamer.com/gtx-1080-review/
GTX 1080 is truly faster than GTX 980 SLI / Titan X . In some games , GTX 980s perform better though
Nintendo don't plan it. If it's true, they already did it. They're currently developing games for the NX so the hardware must stay as it, without big changes. NX specs are nearly definitive now, it's ready. The only thing they need to do now before releasing it is a good game line up.
Haha so my performance estimate for the 1080 was right on the money according to linus's benchmarks.'
Im really hyped. I over clocked my 970 to see if it would make a difference with ishiiruka and I was wowed. I can now run some games at 4k with maxed ssao quality. Before I was stuck with the slider on 32 instead of 64 max.
I think i'll need some new shaders with the gtx 1080. ^.^ Better bring out the volumetric lighting and HBAO!

Curious, how much of a performance increase are we talking about? Especially curious how much more of an increase you go on twilight princess with the same settings and area in the video
