One of my favorite games as a kid, have one of the most recent builds and it gets stuck at the first info screen and doesn't load, on my nVIDIA SHIELD.
Is it in the works or do I need to do something to get it to run?
It's for sure not in work

But no idea why it's not working...

Then yeah, somebody should look into it. It's been a problem ever since I started using this emulator months ago.
There are videos of people using it on YouTube but they're old, and I tried a dev build from back then and it doesn't even run it at all, let alone show the first screen.

Feel free to do so... Don't expect anyone else to do it.

Just the same, don't expect me to know how to do it more than you, somebody who actually works with emulators, would. Give me the tools that let me edit, build and compile to do so and I would attempt it.
Of course, it's my bad that I figured you or one of the devs would do the same, that being the very definition of developer.
You said yourself you've no idea why it isn't working. At least I've helped identify that it isn't so that indeed I or anyone else could look into it.
I just wanted to know if there was anyone on the forum who knows how to get it working without it needing to be fixed in an update, seeing that I've seen others run it on Android. Evidently, that's not you.
But based on what you said--if no one is planning on improving the emulator, fixing bugs, or making it compatible with any more games... why does this forum exist, why are there PR requests, how are there weekly updates and how is there a 5.0 release nearing???
The wiki also tells you why:
https://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?title=The_Simpsons_Hit_%26_Run#MMU_Speed_Hack
This game requires the MMU speedhack, which is NOT supported within the jitarm64. Bad luck, the primary maintainer of the arm64 port has no time any more, and the second one, me, is not interested in doing so.
Just try to run it in the interpreter, this should work just fine.
But feel free to implement it yourself. It took me a month from starting to compile it on arm64 to being able to redesign some jit functions. Everyone can do it.

There is very little work being done
for Android. The PC version of Dolphin does have active developers, and the 5.0 release and most PRs and fixes are focused on that.

Gods damn what an amazing, round about way of saying "Well I could but I don't want to / can't program so blah"
but yeah. Everything but the Android version of Dolphin is under very active development. Android? Hasn't seen attention in a couple months now.

I'm guessing part of the reason why nobody is interested is because there aren't many compatible devices and the GPU driver issues persist. Hopefully those issues magically get solved in the next couple years.

There is an easy way to deal with this issue: Buy the nvidia shield android tv. No other device (maybe the pixel c) is known to work fine. But the bad point is, that why should you buy it if you can just use a common computer. Most users asking for an android port want to play it on their mobiles. It's even worse, because of the thermal bugdet on mobiles, it won't run well with good drivers.
