Hello ,

I recieved an older pc HP Z600 workstation .

There are 2 cpu's in the pc > 2x Intel® Xeon® Processor E5606 4C 2.13 GHz, 80W, 8M cache,
4.80 GT/s QPI, DDR3 1066MHz

With a gpu quadro 4000
And 8gb ram

I tested mario galaxy 2 and it works not so good , so i think its the cpu's .

Now i am planning to install 2 newer cpu's . Do you think i can run the games full speed with does cpu's

2x Intel Xeon X5570 Matched Pair / 4x 2,93 GHz SLBF3 Quad-Core Sockel 1366
nope.
Dolphin is only using 1 of the CPUs, and only 2 cores of that CPU, since it is emulating the CPU and GPU threads from the GC/Wii.

Will upgrading to the X5570 make your games faster? Probably not in the way that you want it to. Super Mario Galaxy is a demanding game for both the CPU and GPU, so while alleviating the CPU strain may help a little, your Quadro 4000 is also probably causing slowdowns, even at the lowest graphical settings, since it's similar in performance to a Nvidia GTS 450.

If you get a good price on the CPU upgrade (I saw a matched pair for $60 on ebay), then yes, get that upgrade, as it will help a little bit. Also, check if your motherboard supports overclocking, because if so, overclocking will get a lot more performance out of the X5570.

But you should also get a better GPU.
Oké thx for the answers , will not upgrade anymore . I recieved this pc and was thinking how far i could go with the pc .
But the cpu is the problem here .
Gpu was not the problem , was planning to install gtx 750 or 760 .

And what about for playing pc games ?

But thanks anyway for the answers .

The X5570 is a cheap upgrade, and should help a bit.

It will also give a small speed increase to PC games if they were CPU bottlenecked.
What about this cpu .

I see great results in pc games

But in Dolphin ???
You're probably going to be better off building a desktop using desktop components rather than server components.

I'm guessing you're still going with server parts because you already have the motherboard and can only afford a CPU?
