I'm thinking about getting a Nexus 9 since I don't really have any use for my 128G iPad Mini 2 anymore I'm selling this one instead.
How is Dolphin performing on this device?
Obviously worse than on X1 devices but since it got proper video drivers it might probably do better than Exynos 9 or Snapdragon 820 ?
I wouldn't get it for Dolphin. Denver was bad. Really bad. And slow.
Hard to compare to eg the Snapdragon 820. The 820 is by far the faster SOC, but the nvidia OpenGL drivers are better, indeed. But comparing this isn't fair, and always depends on the used game. On the nexus 9, you'll be all the time CPU emulation bottlenecked (until we continue to improve thise further). But I think the Nexus 9 is usually faster for dolphin than those new mobiles, for now. This may change over time...

But in the end, don't buy a mobile for dolphin. Try dolphin on a mobile you want to buy anyway. If you buy a mobile for dolphin, you'll be disappointed...
I've GT a nexus 9 with over clock.I got mostly full speed with games like medal of honor front line and time splitters 2
yea, Dolphin is not the reason I buy it, it was just a question on how it performs.
Reason I buy it is that I think its one of the fastest most affordable and comfortable Android Tablets atm beside Shield Tablet.
I know the best mobile device under 12" for Dolphin atm is probably the Surface Pro 2, I haven't found anything under 11/12" that is as powerful as the SP2.
The pixel c should be better since it has the x1 but it's a lot more expensive too. After that the nexus 9 is probably your best shot for android tablets.
The Nexus 9 actually might be the better overall device.  The Pixel C's hacked up "not a chrome os" kernel makes development very difficult, and custom development is almost nil.  The Nexus 9 has tons by comparison.  The pixel C is faster thanks to the X1, and newer.  So it depends how much dolphin matters,  and what you want in an android device
Currently Nexus 9 is a way faster then S7 Exynos 8890 and Snapdragon 810 based devices (non NVIDIA devices), I can't say about Snapdragon 820 as of yet I haven't tried it, though there were reports Dolphin is crashing on S820 SoC. Nexus 9 has never received a driver update and currently remain on outdated v343 unlike Pixel C (which has v355 GL ES 3.2 supported drivers, that have everything Dolphin needs) and unlike Shield TV which has v361 ES 3.2 supported driver. I won't be too optimistic about upcoming ES 3.2 drivers for Nexus 9, but it looks reasonable to me Google may update it with Android N release, looks like all the N supported Nexus devices are getting ES 3.2 support on official N release (Nexus 6P just got ES 3.2 drivers with N preview build, N9 wasn't, but it could happen later with upcoming preview builds). You could say N9 has some potential, it's just weird that Google kept it on v343 since the release and never updated it's drivers
In my opinion there is dwnside to getting a nexus 9. For example on resi evil code veronica there is major graphic issues and lack of desktop open gl

6P and 5X has the same driver V@145.0 (GIT@I7526ac3c7a), they both have ES 3.2
