Take me seriously or don't, the choice is yours, a partnership would be really interesting to actually see, considering CEMU's development team isn't as abundant in number as the Dolphin development team. Both sides would actually be able to benefit. Partnerships bring power. Food for thought.
If you're wondering if Dolphin and Cemu will merge: No. Dolphin is not going to be come a Wii U emulator.

If you're wondering if the developers of one will work on the other: That choice is up to each individual developer. But how are people supposed to contribute to Cemu when it's not open source?

EDIT: oh shit you're THAT guy.

I can see this thread will go nowhere really soon, really fast.

Dolphin is a GC and Wii emulator (TriForce too, kinda sorta) but the current consensus is that it will not be a Wii U emulator any time in the foreseeable future. No one can predict what'll happen years and years from now, but right now the answer is GC and Wii, and it's unlikely to change.

Furthermore, CEMU would have to be released as open-source software with a compatible license to use any of Dolphin's code (which is GPLv2+) if CEMU wants to distribute binaries. And then you have the massive task, presumably, or getting two conflicting codebases to function properly.

If some Dolphin devs want to help out with CEMU, that's their perogative. They just have to contact the CEMU team and go from there. But collaborating or fusing Dolphin and CEMU isn't going to happen, not as things are (and not ever, more than likely).
