Hi there, first post on these forums.

I look for a while on how to enable the official "Gamecube controller adaptor for Wii U" on Mac OS X (El Capitan). I tried for a long time on the latest revision (9168) with disabling SIP and installing a kext file. No luck getting it to work following all the steps from this thread:

I downloaded revision 4599 from here:
https://dolphin-emu.org/download/dev/00b...24a0f711f/

as this was the first revision where the adaptor was supported. Sure enough, the controller settings now display "direct connect" and the pad works excellently.

Question is, how can I get the adaptor to be recognised / direct connect on the latest revision?

Direct connect has disappeared as an option altogether, and the dropdown for controllers displays 4 keyboards (0/1/2/3) and my Sony DualShock 4 controller.

Any tips here? Would be great to only use the latest revision, for obvious compatibility issues!

Note that controller setup was changed in some revision; in the controller config, you now need to set it to "GameCube Adapter for Wii U" rather than "Standard Controller." Is this the problem, or have you already done that?
The GameCube controller adapter support in the latest OS X builds is broken. For now, use 4.0-9115 or earlier. Also, like the previous post says, you need to set the controller to GameCube Adapter for Wii U instead of using the now removed Direct Connect option.
