I suggest that we create a "Development Forum" where all development/coding type questions can be asked and addressed. Such as what is this... what is that... when it comes to aspects of the lastest SVN releases.

Also it would give people that do not have commit access to be able to post patch files or look for a little assistance from the devs that know the flow of the code better for their own little project work...

I think it would help people collaborate and eventually add to the overall project, and possibly speed up certain fixes/patches/feature development that would otherwise take longer if ppl don't get their answers from a dev...

Dunno, it just seems like it would be a good thing to have.

I know I'm no coding expert, but I know enough to be able to make my own little modifications here and there, and I sometimes work on my own little projects... and sometimes I have questions about the flow of certain code or "how things work in X Y Z code snippits" I can figure it out, it just takes me way longer than it would when a dev that knows it could just say "look at this here, and this here..." yadda yadda yadda...
I have already used the SVN section to ask a couple of questions about coding and submit patches, but if what you mean is that Chaos or Falcon make a new section named "Development", then I'm all for it.

It would help differ useful, important threads from those that are just asking about the builds or a game being slow (even in the SVN section).

If you do it, please move any existing patches/coding thread under the SVN section to the new Development section, I can link you to some of the threads to make that job easier.
That's exactly what I mean Smile
