I am bringing in parts for a budget build. Got a few orders on the way. Along with my build I want a front bay with 4 usb 3.0 ports. I have wireless gamepad and wireless keyboard mouse combo I use. I want a few other options open too. The desk I have doesn't allow for good signal flow from rear ports.

Here is the front bay I am looking at. I don't know what some of the connections are. Pcpartpicker doesn't have a compatibility check for it.

Are there better options out there? Will it work with the mobo I want use? Here are my two potential candidates.

The cheaper one:

The slightly more expensive one:

Feel free to suggest which one you think is better. To me, they both have the exact same specs and I'm not overclocking.

And again, thank you for your time. I've learned a lot on your forum.
Yikes! 735 dollars isn't what I would call a budget build. What else are you using this build for? Do you absolutely have to have an i7 Skylake in there? Might I suggest you replace that i7 with an i5 or even i3 and save yourself some cash or use the savings for a decent SSD drive on top of the 1tb HDD?

Everything else looks fine to me as far as budget builds go. I would probably go with a different tower, but that's just my taste. How many other devices do you plan to hook up to your tower that you need to have more than 2 front usb ports? Might be slightly cheaper to go with USB extension cables? I use extension cables to hook my wireless mouse and kb dongles and place them where I get good reception for my respective devices. I haven't had any problems with that. Also, does the front bay usb ports have to be USB3.0? Would you be fine with a 2.0 front bay set? I'm just trying to approach this from a budget build point of view and shaving off a few dollars here or there can add up to significant savings.
Hey thanks for the reply! Sorry I didn't get back to you faster. I just assumed everyone left the thread alone. I got all the parts ordered already. I actually whittled it down to 650 from rebates and ebay buys. I went with the cheaper mobo too. I've already got an ISO of win10 home 64 bit burned to a DVD. I just need to get a product key.

I got the new locked skylake for the purpose of it lasting years and years down the road. I figure it will last a while since I'm not overclocking. I don't get a new PC very often at all. Usb extension cables scare me. Yea dumb fear but every single one I've used has blue screened my PC repeatedly, even on windows 7. I'd like to stay away from them. I have no need for a SSD. My whole logic here is that if I can run Dolphin smoothly at full speeds, then I have a PC that can handle just about anything I throw t it and it will last years and years.
