Dolphin, the GameCube and Wii emulator - Forums

I've got the ROM for Cubivore and I can't seem to get Dolphin to work. I get these funky error messages and then Dolphin force quits itself.

1. I open up the ROM image, and some weird specs appear on the play window, and then this happens:

Error 1

2. I click OK on that error message, and then this happens:

Error 2

3. And then it force quits:

Error 3

----------------------------------------

The same thing happens on my laptop and 2 other computers i've tried Dolphin on.

How do I get it to work? I have no way to update any of my graphics stuffs.

Wait, yeah, I meant ISO. My bad.
But still....

I got it from a reliable source called a disk.

How come you can't update your graphics?

I can't update them because I have no money and the parents aren't willing to shovel out over $50 bucks for a new graphics card. D:
And let's see..............

NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 440 with AGP8X.....
And that's all I could find. I believe my Pixel Shader is 0, and all of my Direct X, Direct 3D and all that are up to date.

..I mean, this is Cubivore for pete's sake! It has an N64 graphics engine. I can play N64 games perfectly. Why can't I play this then?! This is like the only game I want to emulate, so if it's gonna take more than 15 minutes I'm just gonna stop messing with it since wasting more than 15 minutes on it isn't worth it.

o.O AGP... I have a pc ( P4 ) with an AGP card

yes , you need a upgrade but the graphics cards now are PCIe not AGP , so I think you will need to upgrade everything

You'll be able to use the Dx plugin if your lucky.
Did you try that yet?

I get an error that says it can't create some OpenGL crap... But when I use OpenGL in any other emulator program there's no problem.
This is the error?

For some reason it just doesn't work, when it does on all other everythings I play it with (sometimes I use it and don't even know it)

I think he first tried with D3D plugin and then with the OGL one

I'm not a he.

And it was the opposite way around. I tried with the OGL one first. Which it's completely bogus that I can't use OGL with Dolphin, as I use OGL with Uru: Ages Beyond Myst. I tried D3D second, and that bogus as I use D3D with No$GBA.
