Yes but Samsung's KNOX and Dm-verity will freak out if you modify the system image, so you'd have to unlock boot loader, trip KNOX and root to disable DM-verity. Alternatively, ODIN actually CAN flash stock samsung images without tripping anything, so as long as you are comfortable with wiping your data. If you go the root route, you can download user space Mali drivers from their dev website, however these are calibrated for AOSP and may not function at all in touchwiz (which would prevent booting).

I have all that in place already

using a custom rom that disables knox:
Quote:tima, knox and all "bad" samsung related configs are disabled now!

What if I get a copy of the drivers from one of you fine folks who have rolled back your roms?

I assume it would work fine with touchwiz if the pre-august rom is samsung's

it might but Pre august drivers are...complicated. Samsung was using custom Mali drivers to get parity with the Adreno 530. I would recommend rolling forward instead just in case these drivers conflict with something since the R12p1 update moves back to stock Mali drivers.

I am using r12p1 though... Dolphin is broken on this version as well

Yes but Mali likely has r12p2 or r13p0 out in some form, which would present potential improvement.

come on man, I get that s7 users in this forum are thirsty as hell but no need to give false hope!
I'd say DIY, replicate a bug using r12p1, report it on ARM dev forums include example/log/scenario. Wait another year to see if they have fixed it in r13p0/or not.
