It's a bit weird since it shouldn't be any issues except driver on S7 snapdragon variant, minimize workaround should be related to Exynos variant. I've tried running Dolphin on few S820 devices, some titles crash on boot, other titles works graphically glitched but there's no need to apply minimize trick. And it's same v145 driver as on S7. There's also a UI bug that makes dolphin to crash when using older build and trying to configure gamepad layout
He might be using minimize trick in order to improve performance, no idea why does he doing it
Just spoke to owner of the video, he uses minimize trick on S7 sd variant to gain speed in performance, not because it's crashing. So no iCache bug on snapdragon variant.
It's interesting though how minimize trick gains performance on S820, I wonder what's happening under the hood
Have an update regarding "minimize trick" performance improvement on sd S7 variant, for those who are interested. It looked weird to me, such thing as "minimize trick" shouldn't have any impact on Snapdragon variant unlike on Exynos 8890 variant, where it helps to avoid crash due to iCache bug. After profiling Exynos variant using Dolphin, ppsspp and few intensive games I've noticed it's just Samsung's kernel configuration that instantly switching off two bigger Mongoose cores due to power saving, it's not even thermal throttling. I'm surprised no one from the reviewer blogs noticed this earlier, probably Samsung's kernel config is keeping all the cores active in the benchmarks or something. Snapdragon variant has the same config as on Exynos variant hence "minimize trick" restarts sleeping cores for about 10-15 seconds before they shut down. So this answers as to why you get better performance on that video. I've profiled other S820 devices for an hour using Dolphin, ppsspp and games, frequency gets to 1.3GHz when throttling and remains stable thereafter.
Bonus: latest r12p0 Mali driver comes with es3.2 support, unfortunately it was confirmed ARM haven't implemented buffer_storage hence es3.2 would be pretty useless for dolphin on S7, it'll remain to be bottlenecked

No, it is not included. Feel free to ping me on IRC how to patch the files (not before monday)

What you have to do, is download an old Dolphin revision and arrange overlays then update it to the latest once done. Regarding the crash, you need to run the game on interpreter and when finally runs go back to menu and change it back to jit. Sometime it works, sometimes it doesn't.
There are no user-friendly solutions atm for the Android builds.
both input mapping and Exynos 9 patch aren't implemented yet so I would just wait at the moment until someones has the time to finish this.
