Really?  Now that is interesting,  what little documents Qualcomm has provided say the 430 is the only one with support.  Clearly that has changed (not that it was ever a hardware issue,  just business).  Still,  it's good that the adreno 400 series wasn't left behind like the 300 series was.
ES 3.2 isn't enough for this speedup, it's the combination of ES 3.2 and the extention OES_buffer_storage. So right now, you'll only see this speedup on Adreno. But newer Adrenos are now almost as fast as desktop vendors Big Grin

Hint: OES_buffer_storage is a very simple extension without *any* hardware requirement. Every vendor is able to implement it. But as it isn't required for any ES version, most of them just skip it.
The other one was OES_base_vertex. Rarely used, not that hard, but now required for ES 3.2 Big Grin
I was blessed with input on a new build install and tried it,guess an issue caused it to still think the wiimote was disabled even though I turned it back on.
With the setting UseBBox applied,it still hangs at the Bowser scene on the black screen. Sad
I can't even escape with the menu without using the recents button on my keyboard.

Wearing the "I really wish this issue wasn't here right now" button.

Since it doesn't actually crash, how would one log this and possibly without needing root?

Mr Brainz

Hi,

Just got an 8Bitdo gamepad and thought I'd try some Dolphin action.

Can't find a build that allows me to set the gamepad. All the older builds force close when I press the settings cog. The latest builds have that "older versions still work" thing going on.

Any idea how I can set up my gamepad?

Never used Dolphin on Android before.

Cheers
The one before https://github.com/dolphin-emu/dolphin/pull/3547
So 4.0-8766-g3f5f523 was the last working revision.

That's awesome. Thanks for your help. Just installed it and checked the settings cog. I'll have a play later after I'm unchained from my desk Smile

You should maybe consider adding this to an FAQ somewhere for the time being?

Thanks again.

adreno drivers with ES3.2 support are better than mali right now, but still the X1 shield tv is the best for dolphin because is designed for gaming.

you can test the new drivers if you have a nexus device.
I never realized it could use Desktop GL on Tegra chips complete with 4.5 features, had I known,I would of less likely said anything about Vulkan other than it being possibly faster in comparison to even the same GL spec on Talos Principle's benchmark.

In that case, possibly Cemu might be very capable of being ported to strong Android devices using the same function for real Desktop GL 4.0-4.5 access and would only need the recompiler to mature over time after porting it to get half decent performance.
They were planning to port it across platforms already anyway as mentioned on their FAQ,though vaguely not mentioning Android unfortunately.
Some videos I have seen show it running really well on pretty low CPU 2.xGhz clock which is amazing and also them recently reducing VRAM usage would fare even better performance.
A chunk of the speed is said to be from how skilled they are at getting OpenGL to run at its fastest comparable even to DX12 while the rest is the very fast recompiler.
Sure,Smash 4 doesn't run yet,but MK8 is already nearly perfect and a number of other games are shown running well including both Zelda HD remakes. (WW has minimal glitched lighting but TP has recently been mostly perfected)
Edit: It also has single core performance going for it,so its impressively fast for only using one core.

Please don't bash me for this reply,it doesn't push Vulkan other than mentioning in the first one as to why I don't talk about it and this sentence with the word.

Google annouces new beta android builds on nexus devices, nvidia announces new opengl drivers on shield devices. No wonder supporting full opengl is on a high priority there Wink

Yet weirdly,  Nvidia unlike ARM or Qualcomm does not provide user binaries for updated GPU drivers.  Weird considering how much importance they place on their drivers Smile
