I find it amusing that you think you've actually contributed anything by starting this thread. We all know about API's coming out. The developers surely know.

Source?

Why ask me for sources, yet you have a keyboard and a mouse under your fingers?
I'm exponentially glad you found my thread to be so intriguing. If watching a simple man
struggling to spread good word is considered as entertainment to you, than be willing to take a seat as you, "righteously" judge good, simple people as you "righteously" judge yourself as well.
So please sir, take a seat and watch, grab your soda, because this thread may be a long one my good friend.
Dolphin 3.5 is the fastest Dolphin build I have ever gotten my hands on.
I believe It should not be like this.
3.5 has it's own major issues too.
I
think we should add back the Fast EFB access option from 3.5 and improve on the method too. Like super fast EFB access or something maybe, no?
I thought it was a vram problem for my laptop that the Super Mario Galaxy games were running 40fps at 2x native (720p) but it wasn't.
The EFB draw calls from the CPU were too slow in processing. This was an emulator problem. How I know? I tested this option on Dolphin 3.5 and my game ran at a solid 60.
Unlike the latest dolphin revision which ran these games at 40fps.
Maybe this could be added to the 5.0 release?

That is not correct . Dolphin 3.5 still uses Direct3d9 backend and many old feature like old HLE audio which has been removed in latest Dolphin version
Though Old HLE audio is much faster than new HLE but it is the source of problem so

This is impossible

You have to admit though. Checking the option Skip EFB Access from CPU gives a major speed up. Fast EFB Access gave me similar results too.

What's the point of doing that ?
If you do that you won't be able to pull star ...
Looks like this has gone off topic and the original discussion is resolved.
